Our Approach

The Holistic ADHD Difference

At Holistic ADHD, we believe that understanding ADHD requires more than identifying symptoms alone.

Our unique assessment model combines evidence-based ADHD assessment principles with a broader exploration of the factors that influence daily functioning, wellbeing and quality of life. Alongside neurodevelopmental assessment, we consider areas such as physical health, nutrition, sleep, lifestyle, mental wellbeing and environmental influences to build a more complete picture of each individual.

Every assessment is supported by a multidisciplinary network of professionals, bringing together expertise from psychiatry, pharmacy, general practice, mental health, nutrition and neurodiversity support.

Your ADHD Journey

How it works

Our assessment is designed to build a complete picture of you - not simply ask whether you have ADHD. Rather than expecting you to complete lots of lengthy forms on your own, your assessment takes place through a series of structured conversations with specialist clinicians. We guide you through each stage, giving you the opportunity to explain your experiences in your own words and ask questions along the way.

01

A dedicated supporting perspective Interview

A key part of our approach is a Supporting Perspective Interview with someone who knows you well. ADHD symptoms begin in childhood and can affect different areas of life. Hearing from someone who knows you - such as a parent, partner, sibling or another person close to you, can provide valuable additional insight and help our clinicians develop a fuller understanding of your experiences.

02

Clinician-led, not form-led

We guide you through the assessment in appointments with specialist clinicians rather than relying on you to navigate lengthy questionnaires alone.

03

Multidisciplinary team assessment

Your assessment is completed by a multidisciplinary team involving four specialist clinicians, each contributing their expertise to your assessment. Your case also receives a full psychiatrist review. This means we don't look at your experiences through an ADHD lens alone. We consider your wider mental health, development and wellbeing, including whether another condition — or more than one condition — could better explain or contribute to what you're experiencing.

04

Clear next steps

We talk you through the outcome and help you understand what it means, with recommendations for the most appropriate next steps and support.

Our Commitment

Research & Innovation

We are committed to advancing understanding of ADHD and neurodiversity through clinical research, service evaluation and outcome measurement. Our aim is to contribute to a stronger evidence base for holistic approaches to neurodevelopmental assessment and support, helping improve outcomes for individuals, families and communities.
